Elizabeth Kenan

Born and raised in Dare County, I attended Dare County schools and graduated from Manteo High School in 1998. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and my Masters Degree in School Administration from East Carolina University. Go Pirates!! I was a classroom teacher for 16 years, having taught second through fifth grades with 12 of those years in Currituck County.  

Throughout the majority of my teaching experience I have always enjoyed taking on leadership roles and working with my teammates to accomplish goals and tasks. These experiences as a teacher leader have molded my vision for school leadership. I am excited to be back in Dare County, where it all began for me. More importantly, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with everyone at MMS!
