About the Math Department

Teachers at Manteo Middle School use a variety of methods to introduce, reinforce and remediate math skill acquisition so that all students are able to be successful. Math standards are organized by themes: The Number System, Ratios and Proportional Relationships, Geometry, Expressions and Equations, and Statistics and Probability. Students at Manteo Middle School develop their math skills and practices,  monitor their progress in the mastery of those skills and secure their placement on a pathway to high school math concepts.
